Senior Associate - External Relations

Decisive Point is an investment firm focused on critical technologies for defense, energy, and infrastructure.

Decisive Point is hiring an External Relations manager to support marketing, communications, and capital raising. In this role, you will be charged with evangelizing Decisive Point and our portfolio companies to external parties, including investors, government stakeholders, and the media. The ideal candidate for this role has experience in fundraising, communications, and storytelling. Critical to success is a strong professional network, ability to communicate clearly, and comfort in public speaking.

Note: This role is separate and distinct from Investor Relations which is a function we currently have in place that works more directly on fund administration, reporting, and LP support.

Location: New York, New York (other locations to be considered by exception)

Qualifications:

• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• A natural storyteller — able to identify the key tenets of Decisive Point’s business and value proposition that might resonate with a listener.
• Comfortable in a variety of professional settings such as investor conferences, Congressional engagements, and technology demonstration events.
• Ability to effectively manage marketing efforts across social and traditional media platforms.
• Capable of media engagement and coordination with journalists and social media personalities.
• A proven track record of successful capital introduction and capital raising.
• Experience in pitching, relationship management, and public speaking.
• An existing network of potential Limited Partners, Family Offices, and HNW investors.
