// Job Description //

This role seeks a candidate with a strong background in traditional FAR-based contracting and “non-traditional” accelerated acquisitions to assist Decisive Point portfolio companies in effectively doing business with the Federal Government. This includes, but is not limited to, identifying relevant contracting opportunities, leading proposal developments, and executing contracts by being responsive and proactive in completing reporting and compliance requirements. You will cultivate new business opportunities for Decisive Point portfolio companies by researching government programs that could benefit from emerging technologies and work with government acquisition teams (Contracting Officers, Program Managers, Financial Managers, etc.) to meet the appropriate justifications and approvals to integrate the technology into Federal programs. You will assist Decisive Point’s portfolio of small businesses in developing and executing go-to-market strategies in the Federal Government. You will be responsible for helping scale initial wins into bespoke acquisition strategies that will secure long-term business relationships with the Government. Travel for this position is estimated to be less than 10%.

// Responsibilities //

Develop proposals to federal government contracting opportunities such as RFPs, BAAs, CSOs, OTA Consortiums, etc.

Create compelling proposal narratives and supporting documentation that connects capability gaps to emerging technology applications

Assist clients in the requirement generation process - Performance Work Statements

// Requirements //

An excellent writer that is able to generate concise and cogent proposals of highly technical subject matter

Experience in technical writing, proposal development, or technology evaluation and due diligence

Treats people with respect, keeps commitments, inspires others, and works with integrity

// Desired //

At least 2 years of experience as a Government Contract Specialist (or industry equivalent)

Experience with rapid acquisition techniques (Other Transactions, Commercial Solution Openings, Special SBIR Topics)

Understanding of federal government budget process (Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution) and legislation (National Defense Authorization Act and Appropriations Act)

Passion for emerging technology, ventures, and government
