About the role
We are looking for exceptional Firmware Engineers to join our team and play a key role in shaping the next generation of automotive software platforms. This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) revolution, working on cutting-edge firmware and middleware solutions that go beyond traditional AUTOSAR.
Our mission is to redefine in-vehicle software architecture, creating a scalable, high-performance, and modular platform that is AUTOSAR-compatible but not limited by its constraints. If you are passionate about building intelligent vehicle software, optimizing embedded systems, and pushing the boundaries of automotive technology, this role is for you.
As part of our India expansion, this role provides the opportunity to work with global automotive leaders, Tier-1 suppliers, and next-gen mobility startups, delivering highly adaptive and software-centric vehicle architectures.
At Applied Intuition, you will
- Develop and integrate RTOS & POSIX software stacks for automotive control units.
- Work closely with OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers to customize and implement embedded software solutions.
- Bridge the gap between customers and our global engineering teams by understanding technical requirements, participating in design discussions, and tracking project milestones.
- Conduct software validation, debugging, and performance optimization on vehicle hardware or simulation platforms.
- Implement and optimize real-time software for vehicle networking (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and control systems.
- Manage technical demonstrations and prototypes to support business and customer engagement initiatives.
We're looking for someone who has
- 5+ years of experience in automotive firmware development, preferably with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, or top automotive software providers.
- Strong expertise in embedded C/C++ programming for real-time automotive applications.
- Hands-on experience with AUTOSAR Classic, Adaptive AUTOSAR, or similar middleware solutions.
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS), such as FreeRTOS and QNX, for safety-critical and performance-driven automotive applications.
- Knowledge of vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SOME/IP, DDS, MQTT).
- Ability to work directly with customers, understand their technical needs, and translate them into implementable software solutions.
- A strong execution focused mindset with attention to detail in debugging and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with system integration, automotive safety (ISO 26262), and over-the-air (OTA) updates.
- Experience in software project management and technical documentation.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud-connected vehicle platforms, SDV architectures, and AI-driven automotive applications.
- Prior experience in technical sales support or application engineering for embedded software products.
- Knowledge of functional safety (ASIL levels), cybersecurity (ISO 21434), and AUTOSAR tooling (DaVinci, Tresos, Vector, etc.).
- Background in electrical/electronic architecture and software integration in modern vehicles.
Don’t meet every single requirement? If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
