We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments.

About the role

  • Design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable backend platform infrastructure, abstractions, and tooling that supports application deployment, authentication, and API services.

  • Build and optimize distributed systems that enable rapid application development and deployment across the organization.

  • Architect and implement plugin systems and extensibility frameworks to build upon the platform.

  • Create and maintain cross-platform desktop application infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

  • Design and implement robust authentication and authorization systems and automated testing strategies, and evaluate, integrate, and maintain authentication solutions.

  • Engage with external customers to gather feedback on platform capabilities and identify improvement opportunities.

  • Document platform features, APIs, and best practices for internal and external users.

  • Implement comprehensive observability solutions including logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.

  • Monitor platform performance and reliability, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and failures.

  • Participate in on-call rotations, conduct postincident reviews, and implement preventive measures to improve system resilience, maintain platform availability, and respond to incidents.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Must have at least a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering,

  • At least 1 year of experience in a software engineer role with a technology company

  • At least 12 months of experience using Python, Golang, TypeScript/JavaScript, SQL, Flask, Node.js/Express.js, PostgreSQL/MySQL, React.js, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS and GCP cloud services, GitHub, OAuth 2.0, and Load Balancing.

The salary range for this position is $187,075 - $195,100 per year USD annually.
