Product Manager, Enterprise Data (Director)
Radiant
Radiant is an El Segundo, CA-based startup building the world’s first mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors. The company’s first reactor, Kaleidos, is a 1-megawatt failsafe microreactor that can be transported anywhere power is needed and run for up to five years without the need to refuel. Portable nuclear power with rapid deploy capability can replace similar-sized diesel generators, and provide critical asset support for hospitals, data centers, remote sites, and military bases. Radiant’s unique, practical approach to nuclear development utilizes modern software engineering to rapidly achieve safe, factory-built microreactors that leverage existing, well-qualified materials. Founded in 2020, Radiant is on track to test its first reactor next year at the Idaho National Laboratory, with initial customer deliveries beginning in 2028.
About the Role
We're building a new team to own Radiant's internal data infrastructure, executive analytics, and AI capabilities. As the Product Manager (Director), you'll lead this team from the ground up—hiring engineers, managing vendors, and delivering the data platform and AI tools that enable Radiant to operate as a data-driven organization.
This is a leadership role. You'll be the single point of accountability for a 5-person team, reporting directly to the Chief of Staff. You'll own the roadmap, manage vendor relationships, coordinate with Finance, HR, Operations, and Engineering stakeholders, and ensure the team delivers measurable value.
What You'll Do
- Lead the team: Hire, manage, and develop a team of 4 engineers (Technical Lead, DevOps, 2 Data Platform Engineers)
- Own the roadmap: Prioritize work across data integrations, dashboards, and AI tools; balance stakeholder needs with technical constraints
- Manage vendors: Own relationships with Fivetran, Databricks partners, AI platform vendors, and integration contractors; negotiate contracts and manage professional services
- Drive delivery: Ensure the team ships—three-way matching for Finance, executive dashboards, enterprise AI tools—all by end of H1 2025
- Coordinate cross-functionally: Work with Finance (VP Finance, FP&A), Supply Chain, HR, Recruiting, and Engineering to gather requirements and drive adoption
- Navigate security requirements: Work with IT/Security to ensure all tools and integrations meet ITAR/EAR compliance requirements
What We're Looking For
Required
- 8+ years of product management or technical program management experience
- People management experience—you've led small technical teams and know how to hire, develop, and retain engineers
- Experience managing vendor relationships and professional services engagements
- Strong project management skills—you can coordinate across multiple stakeholders and keep complex projects on track
- Comfort with ambiguity—this is a new team; you'll be building processes and systems from scratch
Preferred
- Technical background or fluency—you're comfortable with data concepts, APIs, SQL, and system integrations (you don't need to write code, but you need to understand it)
- Experience with internal tools, enterprise software, or business systems (ERP, MES, HRIS, etc.)
- Experience in hardware, aerospace, defense, or other regulated industries
- Familiarity with data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake) or BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
Why Join Radiant
- Mission: Clean energy that can go anywhere—few problems matter more
- Team: Work alongside exceptional people from SpaceX, Blue Origin, and other top engineering organizations
- Compensation: Competitive compensation with equity
- Benefits: Health/dental/vision, 401(k), and flexible PTO
- Impact: You'll build the data foundation that enables Radiant to scale from startup to production
- Ownership: This is your team, your roadmap, your outcomes
