To support the growth and success of the RISE team and technology, we are looking for a Finance and Administration Manager.

Role & Opportunity
As a Finance and Administration Manager, you will wear multiple hats to support crucial financial, administrative, and HR operations for the organization. This role will be responsible for managing financial budgeting, reporting, and compliance, as well as payroll processes and employee benefits programs. Our ideal candidate will need to be nimble and willing to be exposed to many facets of our finance and accounting world! This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be exposed to the many sides of a dynamic, early stage startup and has a passion for working with people.

In This Role Your Will:

Finance:

  • Lead the month end close process, including review and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, corporate reporting, and financial review.
  • Provide financial reporting support, including the running of reports and designing and development of new reports.
  • Manage revenue recognition and project cost review for all RISE programs and projects.
  • Manage the Accounts Payable process; work with a bookkeeper to match and process supplier invoices with purchase orders and receipts.
  • Monitor cash flow and forecast liquidity needs.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor budgetary processes with guidance from the CFO.
  • Work with the CFO and budget owners to create annual budgets, forecast future financial performance, and analyze variances between actual and budgeted results.
  • Communicate monthly financial information and insights effectively to stakeholders, including senior management, board of directors, investors, and regulatory authorities, to support decision-making and foster transparency.
  • Manage tax planning and compliance activities to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring adherence to relevant tax laws and regulations.

Administration:

  • Assist in the onboarding process, preparing and managing new hire paperwork, and the setup of payroll and benefits, to ensure a positive experience for new employees.
  • Prepare administrative and HR-related documents, including non-disclosure agreements, employment contracts, offer letters, and termination paperwork.
  • Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS, Gusto, including benefits and payroll data, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Process semi-monthly payroll for all employees maintaining and updating payroll records as needed, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Coordinate and manage the annual benefits renewal process with a broker, overseeing the administration of all employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement, and other company-provided benefits, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
